Artist bio

Shaunt’e Lewis is an acclaimed visual artist and illustrator, celebrated for her vibrant, bold creations. Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, she relocated to Indiana in 2011, where she has since developed her distinctive style. Her work is deeply rooted in themes of self-identity, Black culture, and femininity, with a focus on colorful illustrations, murals, and original paintings for both private collectors and commercial clients.

Shaunt’e’s passion for art and entrepreneurship has led to collaborations with an impressive array of renowned brands, including West Elm, Meijer, Maker's Mark, Jordan Brand, the NBA and WNBA, Hoosier Lottery, and Cricket Wireless. These partnerships have allowed her to seamlessly integrate her artistic vision into commercial projects, leaving a lasting mark on the industry. In 2024, she was honored with the Breakthrough Women Award from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, in recognition of her contributions to Arts and Culture.

Her work has been featured in prestigious publications like the New York Times and Complex Magazine, earning her international recognition. Yet, despite her widespread acclaim, Shaunt’e’s art continues to be a profound source of joy, creativity, and inspiration.
